Golconda Fort

Golconda Fort is the one of the famous and  wonderful  tourist  place to visit, located 11km. from Hyderabad. And Hyderabad is the capital city of Andhra Pradesh, it is the fourth most metropolitan city in India. The important  feature of this fort is that the sounds of  hands clapped at the entry gate be heard quit clearly at the top of the hill.

Golconda Ford name is originates from the telugu words  “Golla” and  “Konda”  which means ‘shepard’s hill’. The current structure of the Golconda Ford was built by Qutub Shahi Kings in to a massive fort  with granite walls having 8 gate and 87 bastion spread uppto 7kms.

Acoustics

The System of Acoustic in the Golconda Fort is one of the most  interesting System. In these System if we clapped the hands at entry gate of the Fort then it should be audible at the top of the Hill. It also contains water supply system, palaces, factories and the famous ‘Rahban’  canon.

Taramathi Gana and Premathi Nritya Mandir 

Taramathi  and Premathi are the two legendary sisters residence of  the Golconda Fort. When we entered in the Fort then you see the separate pavilion for Taramathi Gana Mandir and Premathi Nritya Mandir.

Sound and Light Show at Golconda Fort 

Golconda Fort is famous for the Sound and Light Show. People gathered here to see the Light and Sound Show at Golconda Fort in evening.
